Alliance BizSmart® QR is a business banking mobile app by Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad that allows merchants to receive payments via DuitNow QR, Malaysia’s National Standard Quick Response (QR) established by PayNet under Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
Merchants would only need to display one QR Code – the DuitNow QR, to accept payments from customers. Customers can make payments from any participating bank or e-wallet mobile app.
The mobile app enables merchants to seamlessly generate QR codes to receive payments, outlet and cashier maintenance, and manage received QR payments.
Any business operating a legal business in Malaysia can apply. The Merchant must also be an Alliance Business Current Account/-i customer.
DuitNow QR Administrator is the first user who enrolls and manages the business’ Alliance BizSmart® QR Mobile App.
Outlet refers to the physical location where goods or services are sold, and where QR transactions are carried out.
Cashier is the staff member assigned to a point-of-sale (POS) account in the Alliance BizSmart® QR application at an Outlet to receive QR payment transactions.
Yes, you can register and manage multiple outlets and cashiers with a single enrollment on Alliance BizSmart® QR. After completing the enrollment, you can add additional outlets and cashiers. The DuitNow QR Administrator can also view QR transactions from all registered Outlets.
Registered Merchant (Seller) generates DuitNow QR on Alliance BizSmart® QR Mobile App and presents the QR code to Merchant’s Customer (Buyer). Customers can scan a Static QR code displayed generated by the Alliance BizSmart® QR of a Merchant to make payment(s).
The Merchant’s Customer (Buyer) will scan the QR code to make payment to the Merchant (Seller), and the payment will be credited into the Merchant’s registered Alliance Business Current Account/-i.
Alliance BizSmart® QR Tent Card
You may request empty tent cards from Alliance Bank branches upon completing the enrollment. Printed static QR code can be inserted into the tent cards to be displayed at your outlets, allowing buyers to scan and make payment transfers to you.
The DuitNow QR image/code displayed on the tent card is tagged to one Current Account. If you perform a Change of Collection Account on the system, the existing DuitNow QR image/code will no longer be valid.
You will need to reprint the new DuitNow QR image/code. Kindly refer to the user guide on steps to reprint the DuitNow QR.
Yes, you need to enroll again as Alliance BizSmart® and Alliance BizSmart® QR are two different mobile applications.
The QR transactions received can be viewed by both the Cashier(s) and DuitNow QR Administrator.
Currently, there is no charges for registration and the transaction fees are waived. A notification will be provided if there are any changes in the future.
