Alliance Bank Supports Women Empowerment and Female-Led Businesses in Conjunction with International Women's Day 2022.

Kuala Lumpur, 22 March 2022 - Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (“Alliance Bank” or the “Bank”) recently supported women empowerment and female-led businesses through a corporate responsibility initiative in conjunction with International Women’s Day 2022.

During this initiative, the Bank collaborated with The Hive and Women of Will’s (WOW) Community Kitchen to purchase 200 care packages comprising hygiene and food items. The Hive is a female-led zero-waste social business, and WOW is a non-governmental organisation aimed at empowering disadvantaged women and their families.

The care packages, worth over RM180 each, were purchased by the Bank to be distributed to selected WOW beneficiaries.

The proceeds that WOW’s Community Kitchen earned from this initiative helps disadvantaged single mothers and mothers from the B40 community to generate extra income for their households.
